Closing my inground pool with return at the bottom of the deep end

What you need:
  •  2 bags of shock
  • winter pool kit
  • RV anti-freeze (1 bottle)

How to close your pool
  1. When the air temp starts dropping at night blow out the bottom return & plug it.
  2. Vacuum the pool
  3. Add 2 bags of shock
  4. Let it circulate
  5. If you can let it go for 3 hours and then vacuum if you think you have any algae
  6. Add the Winter pool kit per the directions
    1. Run liquid around the outside of the pool and let it circulate.
    2. Put the powder winterizer into the Skimmer and let it circulate for 3 hours.
  7. Backwash as much water out until it can't get to the Skimmer.
  8. Then plug the vacuum hose into the Skimmer and suck as much more as desired.
    1. At least below the Skimmer.
  9. Blow out top 2 returns and then plug them.
  10. Pour anti freeze into the return lines
  11. Drain the pump and the filter.
  12. Blow out Skimmer to pump line
  13. Plug the Skimmer and then pour anti freeze in that line.
  14. Put the cap on the skimmer cover
  15. Put Vaseline on the pump waste cover so the rubber ring doesn't dry rot
