google sync blackberry curve 8330

why is it google sync was working fine for my curve and now out of the blue i am getting
"last sync failed - no network connection. please make sure the wireless radio is turned on and you have good reception. "

it seems to be a very common problem with blackberry users. i have tried the permissions thing and also tried to see if there were any certificates for google that expired. all is ok. any help would be greatly appreciated.

i guess if no solution is found i will move over to yahoo calendars. seems like that is what people have been using since they have encountered this error.

so i guess i am going to start looking into migrating all entries of my google calendar to yahoo.... if anyone has any info on that please let me know.
